Have you ever really asked yourself that question?
How did I get so deeply into debt over my ears, and it just seems
that there may never be a way out?
First, you need to take a look at what is causing all that debt?
Is it a bunch of credit cards with over due payments,
huge car or personal loans, or just no money at all.
Sometimes you can just turn around and
find that your money that you had
in your pocket is just gone, but where did it go?
Take a deep breath, and we can figure out this debt mystery.
Grab a pen and a pad of paper and start writing everything down.
I Mean Everything.
The car payments, loans, mortgages, loans to friends everything.
The only way to get a handle on your debt load is to
shock yourself into finding out
everything you owe down to the last penny.
When I discovered what out total debt load was
a few years back I was ready to
crawl into a cave and never come out, not even for chocolate.:-)
I couldn't believe we had gotten ourselves so far into debt.
It was both of us, my husband and I,
we had nobody to blame but ourselves,
boy, that was a hard realization but it was the truth.
It was a bitter pill to swallow, but once we admitted the truth,
 that we were in debt,
over our heads and it wasn't getting any better, it felt like a big weight had been lifted off
of our shoulder, we just felt lighter.
It took a lot of arguing and fighting to get to the point to admit we were deeply in debt
but it was the only way to admit it to ourselves.
We then started on a plan to repay out debt bit by bit.
We wrote every penny down that we owed and started sending letters to creditors
and looking into debt consolidations loans.

Next week's article will detail our debt consolidation loans plan.
